Motivated and detail-oriented individual seeking the Administrative Assistant 1 position with the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services. Eager to contribute strong organizational, clerical, and communication skills to support the Sparks, NV Child Welfare office and make a positive impact in child and family services.
I would like to make it very clear that I do not have any prior work experience nor a degree from university due to my responsibility of being the sole caretaker of my 72-year old mother and 69-year old father. The last two decades has found my mother experiencing a lower quality of life due to chronic pain involving her both knees which often leaves her immobile and a father who has been recovering from an enlarged prostate surgery, a hernia surgery, and multiple cancer scares. As the only child living with them, I had brought it onto myself to assist and care for them in any way possible as exemplified by the following examples: cooking and grocery shopping for the household, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, organizing their paperwork and official documentations, taking care of the utility bills, and providing all-around assistance during bath times, restroom times, and meal times, scheduling and taking them to doctor's appointments.
A recent and major life development has made it possible for me to earnestly pursue a career that will help me provide financial support to my parents now that we are moving in with the rest of our family in Sparks. I am supremely excited to enter this new hopeful stage in my adult life and am very grateful to have the opportunity of applying to this respected establishment.
