
Good safety practices require the meeting of many skills in one person in order to effectively meet the needs of craftsmen, supervision, and office personnel to create the correct safety culture. Performing safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement.
Coordination and conduction of daily safety and health inspections, maintaining, and providing complete and accurate documentation of such inspections. Conducts weekly safety training, maintaining, and providing complete and accurate documentation of such training.
Enforcing adherence to EM 385-1-1. Implements and enforces the APP (Accident Prevention Plan), along with conducting AHA’s (Activity Hazard Analyses).
Ensures all safety reports are prepared and submitted in accordance with the APP. Ensure complete job site compliance with the safety and health requirements.
Maintains a list of hazardous chemicals and their MSDS on site.
Conducts accident reports and assists with internal investigations.
Holds daily safety meetings and keeps documentation of such meetings.
Keeps designated personnel and management staff apprised of the status of safety in the workplace.
Maintains all the project safety files. Examines work sites to identify hazards in the workplace. Ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, are using appropriate personal protective equipment.
