Work History

  • I started as an operator on a Mazak 4KW laser.
  • Cut, cleaned, and quality-checked parts.
  • Separated parts by work order, and worked closely with the coordinators to ensure their job would not be hard to find all the parts needed.
  • When I was promoted to lead, I took on a lot more tasks and machinery.
  • List of machines: Mazak OptiPlex 4020 4 kW, Messer with Hypertherm Edge Pro console, Alltra PG14-14 with Burny console, Hydmech Saws V18APC & S-23A, manual Wells Saw, PythonX2, Goff Wheelabrator, and numerous drill presses, both small and large.
  • I learned to calibrate, operate, and maintain all of these machines to be in the best condition to provide quality parts and ease of use for the operators on my team.
  • I can read prints.
  • I can read G & M code, and I have a high level of experience with Sigmanest, both for laser and plasma.
  • I can also read the Standard Description for Steel Structure Pieces for the Numerical Controls, and I used SolidWorks with SigmaDSTV for our robot plasma.
  • Conducted testing of software and systems to ensure quality and reliability.
  • I contributed innovative ideas and solutions to enhance team performance and outcomes. I would also take on any ideas that were given by this team, and would trial the best and safest results.
  • Preformed safety inspections on cranes, lifting equipment, forklifts, tools, and required PPE.
  • Making appropriate calls and always having a backup plan.
  • Managed inventory, consumables, and supplies to ensure materials were available when needed.
  • Prioritized and constructed tasks to efficiently accomplish several goals.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, combi lifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts.
  • I also did a number of various jobs here, such as assembling and disassembling large shelving and cantilever racks, moving smaller machines, loading and unloading trucks, and growing my skills in other departments across the shop.
