After 7 years of being a barista, focusing on quality and overall a positive customer experience, my knowledge of not only drink making, but being able to navigate around a customer's wants/ needs, has grown exponentially. Always ensuring the upmost quality, and attention to detail in every order. After all this time, I am still learning, and developing my skills to better create a warm, welcoming environment, that produces the best quality products.

Dedicated to fostering a positive environment for fellow team members, encouraging those to not be afraid to voice their opinions, and ideas. Never one to shun another's approach to a situation, willing to adapt and learn.

Passionate to deliver an exceptional experience not only for the customers, but an enjoyable shift for the team.   • Contributed to phasing out designs that were hurtful to production cost and time, by speaking with the engineers responsible.
  • Reformed old practices to further streamline the process, and the allotted time that came with each design.
  • Implemented a 100% guarantee of quality on product before shipping to customer.
  • Attention to detail on a microscopic level to ensure not just the quality, but the safety of persons, and the part that was being created.

  • Communication between differing departments was a must, collaborating on how to solve issues by bringing together different points of view.

  • Moral is also a huge part to play in smooth production, always coming at the team with a positive outlook on the current situation.   • Provided an environment that felt comfortable, welcoming, and clean. Greeting every customer, and saying farewell to all that would go. Building a home away from home for them.
  • Building rapport with the customer base, as to make a real connection to help them relax, and take a moment away from their heavy work load.
  • Clean and orderly space kept, to promote a smooth, fast moving production of goods. Also to showcase that the environment is well maintained, and cared over.
  • During peak hours of business, we would control the chaos and promote fun banter not only between coworkers, but engage the customers to have fun along with us. Promoting a camaraderie amongst everyone.
  • Complimented team members on their actions in between peak hours of service, to instill a positive relationship between everyone. Also to promote a sense of accomplishment, big or small, everyone matters.
  • Clear, concise communication is a pivotal must amongst coworkers, especially to enable the fastest possible service, but to also alleviate wait time for the customers, and the stress of your fellow coworkers.
  • Autonomous decision making, plays a vital role, the team knew when to start performing certain duties throughout the shift without direction. Although there would be certain days, taking the lead on designating tasks was implemented without any strife.
  • Customer complaints were handled with patience, and kindness, resolving problems with efficiency. Taking our time to cater to requests/ complaints, enabling us to perpetuate customer loyalty, and faith that we can perform any and all requests given.
  • Knowledge of coffee was FOH specialty, not only of the origin of the coffee bean, but the drying process, various brew methods, elevation at which the bean was grown, and the differing flavor profiles that come with all that information.
  • Due to our coffee/ tea knowledge, we had a plethora of menu options, even off menu things to create for the more adventurous customers to try. Anything from hot to cold, tea, lattes, cappuccinos, steamers, refreshers, tonics, ginger beer.
  • Committing customer orders to memory was second nature, which heightened the relationship, faith, and trust the customer had for us to be able to provide excellent service/ products.
  • Managing our pastries inventory twice a day to ensure that we could maintain menu items everyday, with no delay.
  • Deep cleaned FOH and BOH once a week, keeping a clean, healthy environment to mitigate risks of health hazards.
  • Able to flex priorities when a catering event was on the calendar, shifting focus to the items to be delivered in a timely manner, all the while still maintaining flow on regular orders.
  • Training new hires for FOH was a patient process, answering any questions, providing hands on instructions/ demonstrations, to better allow the trainee a feel for the flow of creating drinks, and what to prioritize in the heat of the moment. Never putting pressure, giving encouragements along the way as to not dissuade the trainee.

  • Developed a pallette to profile different origins of coffee bean's flavors. Taking into account not just country of origin, but the dry process, and elevation at which it was harvested.
  • Proficiency at working solo shifts, relying on the best way to perform shift duties, while being able to maintain a great flow of producing drinks, and focusing on the customer experience.
  • Experimenting with ingredients was encouraged to create unique experiences for customers willing to try something new.
