Liaison between Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP)/FMP and Department of Energy-Environmental Management (DOE-EM) for site decontamination and demolition (D&D) projects
Coordinating work between DOE-EM Contractor and FMP in the D&D of the prototype of the first nuclear submarine and its support buildings
Responsible for creating and producing several documents detailing shared use of systems and utilities, and the transfer of systems and utilities between FMP and DOE-EM
Responsible for oversight on D&D projects to ensure subcontractor compliance to FMP and D&D requirements
Responsible for understanding of said requirements, including outside and Federal standards such as OSHA (safety), NAVSEA (radiological), NEC (electrical), environmental and waste standards (CERCLA, NEPA, RCRA), fire protection, material handling/lifting and handling requirements
Responsible for interfacing with many facets of Federally operated sites, including other subcontractors, Naval personnel, DOE personnel, congressional personnel, etc
Works with project management personnel to ensure timely and safe execution of D&D projects
Projects overseen include: building demolition, major equipment upgrades, remediation of sensitive program areas.
Attended Radiological Controls Technician Qualifying School (RCTQS) at Norfolk, VA
Completed post-RCTQS training at NRF and successfully became Article 108-qualified
DOE "L" clearance
Responsible for routine contamination and radiation surveys
Exceptionally proficient with documentation
Actively participating in Site Trending and Tracking System (STaTs) documentation and resolution
Participates as a viable member of the crew, providing quality assurance radiological support for all fuel handling evolutions, deficiency resolutions, and Site RadCon Ops
