Responsible for maintaining inventory standards with quarterly cycle counts which had to be maintained at 100% for each quarter.

Vistar is a publicly traded co., and each day the daily inventory adjustments needed to reviewed and if over 1,000 I needed to comment why such an adjustment was necessary.

The daily cut reports, lost pallets, received not put away and the numerous customer shorts were the most popular daily tasks.

Transfer disputes happened when we either shipped or received product from fellow Vistar co. I would have to rectify the overage or underage or damages in transit.

I was able to provide several salvage sales with a customer who owns a store that specializes in short code or expired items.

I coordinated with the corporate and in house buyers, answering their questions about product with questionable dates.

I worked closely with customer service answering their numerous questions.

Worked closely with transportation dept. making sure the items on pallets were brought back to stock in a timely manner.

Worked on keeping the warehouse damaged clear and organized.

I participated in an unscheduled audit last June. We were able to get a plus AA rating which was the highest in the company.

I was a night selector for 11 years. My responsibilities were to plan out a truck. Making sure that the customers have enough pallets to fit on the truck. I had one of the highest pulling rate and lowest mistake rate for the duration of my selector career. Loading my truck and helping other selectors load their trucks. Pulling the will call orders each night and cleaning the aisles and making sure the dock was spotless for day shift.
