Worked in the power plant as a Stationary Engineer. Operated 3 Fulton high pressure boilers 15 Hp. 6 Patterson Kelly HWH boilers that supply heat to the dorms inside the prison. 5 Camus HWH boilers that provided heat and domestic HW to a 256 bed hospital. 1 Lochinvar HWH boiler that provided heat to the Inmate educational building. 1 Bryan HWH boiler to supply heat to the gym and administrative areas. 2 AO Smith HW boilers to supply hot water to kitchen and dining complex. 19 Noritz Instant water heaters for all dorms. 3 80,000 gallon zeolite water softeners for all domestic hot water. 2 2.5 MW Kohler diesel generators for emergency power & 12,470 switch gear.

Reason for leaving I failed to obtain my commission to inspect boilers for the State of Ohio.

I was the operator of record through the Ohio EPA for a Class 1 water distribution system that supplied safe drinking water to 3,000 individuals with a 1 million gallon reservoir per Ohio EPA guidelines. Conducted daily water tests of the water system and kept computerized records that were downloaded monthly to the Ohio EPA. Maintained a 60,000 gallon heated therapy pool and hot tub for clients use.

Also was responsible for 7 high pressure Ohio special 200 HP boilers. 2 heating HWH plants.

Able to troubleshoot and identify problems when they arise with the boilers and water distribution system. Maintain inventory of all parts and ordering all parts for the preventive maintenance of the power plants. Do yearly inspections for all boilers. Operate and install 208-230, 277, 480 volt 3 phase motors in the power plant and water treatment plant. Operated chlorine gas injection system for drinking water system. Operated web computer controls and supervision computer programs for heating, air conditioning, boiler alarm system, boiler automatic blowdown system and Simplex fire alarm system.

Responsible for drinking water monthly testing for Bacteria in water system and annual testing for HAA5 and nitrates. Flushed all fire hydrants 2x per year and schedule yearly inspections of 34 backflow preventers from 3/4" to 8" in diameter

Started back my employment at Gallipolis Developmental Center as a Stationary Engineer until the position was abolished because of the installation of Ohio Special Boilers. Operated all of the same equipment and same duties as before except I wasn't a Licensed Treatment Plant Operator.

Worked as a shift operating Stationary Engineer. Operated 4 25,000 #/hr (2900 HP) Keeler coal fired boilers. Nebraska 40,000 #/hr (1,160 HP) natural gas water tube boiler. Ash removal system, electrstatic percipatator negative draft. 3 80,000 gallon zeolite water softeners. Waukesha 900 KW diesel generator. 12,470 volt switch gear.

Taught and instructed inmates to obtain a Stationary Steam Engineer License.

Worked and did the same job duties as before as a Stationary Engineer.

I obtained my First Class Stationary Engineer License

Commenced employment at the Gallipolis Developmental Center power plant as a Boiler Maintenance Worker. Assisted Stationary Engineer and Boiler Operator on assigned shift. Operated front end loader, coal flight feeder elevator to put coal in silo to deliver coal to the coal boilers in the power plant.

Assisted Steam Fitter at pack steam valves and learn the operation of power plant and operation of all power plant equipment. Studied and obtained a High Pressue Boiler operators License.
