As a Director of Quality Assurance and executive leader, I was responsible for overseeing all quality matters at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling and the 844 Communication Group.
In this capacity, I managed and directed a quality assurance program for a highly industrialized Base complex that engaged in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of various Communication systems.
My role involved initiating and developing guidance for the procurement and installation of quality systems, the development and installation of process specifications/standards, and the analysis of such systems through audits, process analysis, and surveillance.
I also ensured that quality systems were in place to control the repair process at various levels.
I conducted extensive research, designed plans, coordinated, executed, and evaluated the squadron's quality efforts.
These efforts included designing plans for new or improved techniques to improve quality/productivity/reliability and reduce quality costs during all phases of the life cycle of communication systems, air defense missile systems, and associated ground support equipment.
Furthermore, I developed plans to measure the effectiveness of the quality management system as it applies to multi-functional programs for various Major Commands (TACOM, AMCOM, CECOM) and other uniformed services.
I also established internal procedures controls and quality policies for the organizations' procurement activities.

As the Quality Assurance Manager for the Army Preposition Stock-2–2 (APS-2) as part of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade, I played a pivotal role in the organization's mission.
My responsibilities included developing, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring the contract quality assurance program and surveillance systems for support of expeditionary and installation contracts.
I served as the technical expert and advisor to the commander, installation directors, contracting officers, and contracting officer representatives (COR) on matters of contract-quality assurance and surveillance and the unit's procurement activities, thereby ensuring the smooth functioning of our mission-critical operations.
I established and maintained professional working relationships to ensure that contractor performance monitoring and evaluation meets regulatory and statutory requirements.
I was responsible for developing and implementing the overall quality assurance strategy to assess the effectiveness of contractors' performed services and functions for the organization and subordinate organizations.
I served as a subject matter expert on technical and COR performance information and logistical operations.
Additionally, I reviewed and analyzed statistical data, performed objective reviews of the quality assurance program to verify adequacy, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations and policies, and developed corrective actions to ensure efficiency.

In my capacity as a Program Manager, I provided expert guidance, oversight, and technical advice to the Command and staff on all aspects of training requirements coordination, supervision, and integration across the 405th Army Field Support Brigade, subordinate Battalions, and Logistic Readiness Centers (LRC).
My role included developing and implementing training programs, plans, and exercises that aligned with our ASC assigned missions while instructing and facilitating leadership development and professional skills training programs.
As the facilitator and training program manager for the 405th AFSB, I evaluated and managed leader development-related programs, materials, and processes to ensure consistency throughout the Command.
I effectively utilized training systems such as the Training Education Development (TED) database, Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), Army Training Management System, and Digital Training Management System (DTMS) to manage, track and complete training program & course requirements.

As a member of the Quality Assurance Management team for the 405th Army Field Support Battalion, I was responsible for overseeing and managing quality assurance and quality inspection work related to the Army Field Support Brigade, Army Sustainment Command (ASC) National Maintenance Program, and DA Pre-propositioned Stocks.
In this role, I performed verification inspections on all equipment received, stored, repaired/modified, and shipped by United States Material Support Command – Korea (MSC-K) to ensure compliance with established standards and serviceability criteria.
I managed the MSC-K Technical Library, which contained over 50,000 technical publications.
I also performed quality assurance functions such as processing customer complaints, maintaining quality history files, preparing statistical reports, performing special studies, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and regulations.
Additionally, I assisted division chiefs in developing inspection plans and check sheets, and served as the MSC-K Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) support coordinator to ensure compliance with EUSA regulations for calibration of devices.
As the MSC-K configuration control officer, I ensured compliance with EUSA regulations for applying Modification Work Orders to equipment in storage and during repair and ensured that all work orders were budgeted and funded correctly for successful completion.
I also managed and coordinated the implementation and maintenance of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 program and assisted in preparing responses to audit report findings on procurement issues with incoming equipment shipment and developed sourcing solutions.
My responsibilities also included developing corrective action plans to address any deficiencies found in inspection reports and ensuring a quick repair and a return to functional operational status.
I provided technical guidance and service to all facilities, accomplished maintenance, and repair work, and coordinated with subordinate specialist personnel to conduct studies and develop guidelines essential to an effective quality assurance program.
Finally, I directed the implementation of interim test procedures required to inspect material without applicable or adaptable inspection standards.
These procedures were submitted to a higher authority for approval.
