  • Lead Interpreter for Kunar Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), working directly with U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, USAID, U.S. State Department, and U.S. Rule of Law to execute high-priority U.S. government projects in Afghanistan.
  • Primary Interpreter for meetings with the Governor of Kunar, Fazlulah Wahidi, Chief of Police, and other local officials, translating critical discussions regarding development, security, and governance. These meetings were broadcast on local TV nightly.
  • Collaborated closely with U.S. State Department and USAID teams to implement key infrastructure and governance projects in all 14 districts of Kunar.
  • Provided simultaneous interpretation for public trials with U.S. Rule of Law representatives and Afghan prosecutors, ensuring clear communication in legal proceedings.
  • Participated in high-risk missions with U.S. military branches, traveling to remote areas of Kunar, often under threat of ambush and roadside bombs, ensuring the safety and success of operations.
  • Contributed to strategic negotiations and VIP meetings with high-level officials, including Afghan parliament members, local government leaders, and ISAF commanders (five-star generals).
  • Conducted weekly translation sessions for key meetings with Afghan officials, including Provincial Council members, political leaders, and judicial authorities.
  • Collaborated with MPRI Team for three months prior to assignment with PRT, translating high-level security and governance discussions.
  • Worked in Kabul for USAID as an interpreter, facilitating communications with Afghan political officials and key stakeholders.
