Responsible for inspection and approval of new finished good automotive parts from overseas suppliers to assist with reman order fill and expanding Cardone's "Select New" product catalog offering. Functioned as product technical expert to manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, technical services, and vendors.

Key Results

  • Approved and added 800+ window lift motor regulators and 200+ wiper motors to company's Select catalog offering.
  • Transitioned to steering division, a safety product line, to expand skills and experience across additional automotive parts offered by Cardone.
  • Developed Phase 1 and 2 of Modulus steering program which aims to further improve on quality and accessory offering of Cardone's current Select steering products to remain competitive in current market.
  • Assisted University of Texas - Austin with development of "bridge" ventilator for emergency use during Covid-19 pandemic that used Cardone approved wiper motor to regulate oxygen.

In addition to leadership role, duties as D.E. consisted of designing remanufactured automotive parts through development of prints, bill of materials, DFMEAs, prototypes, and on car tests. Coordinated with manufacturing, core buyers, salvage, and product management to improve customer fill rate and reduce lost sales through conversion and repair engineering prints.

Key Results:

  • Developed 350+ conversion prints to assist in company order fill by creating alternative supply solutions on part dropout due to lack of core returns.
  • Developed 300+ repair prints to improve component renewal rates and cleared out significant floor space in manufacturing salvage area.
  • Implemented cost reduction projects for production while keeping quality and customer safety at forefront.
