Work History

Cabin Leader

  • Make Promises Happen is a camp targeted and catered toward individuals with disabilities. I’ve spent my 2025 summer and 2026 summer there, as well as some volunteer time during the spring of 2025 and additional leadership time during the fall and winter of 2025. On their leadership team, I help serve individuals with disabilities and provide them a judgment‑free space where they can have fun and be themselves. I support counselors and campers by helping them get to the places they need to be and by providing any intimate care my campers may need. As a volunteer, I was partnered one‑on‑one with a camper to assist with whatever activity we were doing. The camp runs one weekend a month during the fall, winter, and spring, and during the summer they host week‑long camps.
