Responsibilities included managing up to 32 Duke FTE and contract employees through daily warehouse functions. Provided leadership and support to team members during storm response and critical outages for the Carolinas as well as Florida. Directed teams through mandatory Supply Chain initiatives, such as, Progress Energy and Duke merger, Maximo and Enable implementation, material kitting implementation and warehouse redesign. Management of inventory, resources and employees have been the primary focus of my daily activities.
  • Currently leading the Fairfax DC in Greensboro NC.
  • The Fairfax team includes 27 Duke craft and exempt employees as well as 962 Union and contract employees.
  • Control and manage Transmission and Distribution inventory totaling $54M.

  • Rigger duties include working in a team environment to move oversized transformers, circuit breakers, regulators, mobile transformers, and other power equipment to substations throughout North and South Carolina during normal operation and storm response. Other responsibilities include recording, documenting, and reporting monthly and quarterly fuel reports on all vehicles assigned to the Heavy Moving and Pool Equipment. This requires keeping accurate records for DOT Regulations and Fuel Tax reporting. Duties also include assisting Substation Construction Crews and the Test Crew as needed. I have also taken on the responsibilities of training all incoming employees in Human Performance techniques. I am also a team leader for the RCA committee which investigates all incidents for route causes and solutions to help improve safety and performance within our company.

  • This position is responsible for coordinating the on-time procurement, selection and delivery of materials in support of TOP-Carolinas capital projects. Working as a liaison between Engineering, Maintenance, Construction and the Supply Chain organizations, this position provides materials related expertise and assistance to project teams in support of the goals and schedules of the overall project. Duties include: initiating the procurement and fulfillment of Bills of Material specified for each assigned project, tracking the project construction and maintenance schedules and driving materials to meet those schedules, coordinating material deliveries with multiple vendors and crews at remote work locations, assisting in providing analytical support for the development of procurement strategies, and expediting critical material deliveries in support of emergent project activities and schedule changes. In addition, provides support of inventory management and achieving inventory goals, and is required to provide material support to on-call, emergency and storm response situations.
