Summary

My career started in retail management. I used those beginnings getting to know people and relating to what drives their wants and needs. In May 2021, I began my position with the Department of Social Services as a Case Manager. Our Mission entailed providing protection to children, families, and vulnerable adults. That position allowed me to work with children one-on-one while compiling information on their needs and how to assist their families. The Case Manager was involved in the child or children’s activities, and school. I used the position to set-up tutorials, if needed, to provide the children and family with basic necessities enabling them to become self-proficient, although the job required a once of month visit the duties shifted to once or twice a week. Learning and analyzing documenting case history, preparing reports and serving as a liaison between families, government organizations, schools, courts and other essential services. I have identified sources of data and performs data acquisition. Develops reports which summarize accomplishments and results of assignments and presents findings. I have also provided technical and management guidance and advice on the most appropriate method or procedures of analysis and evaluation to accomplish the mission and ensure optimum management strategy. Each child and family are different, the similarities are the kids and what they would endure. I am using the knowledge to build on my understanding and to aid the next venture in students’ lives.

  • I began working as an Child Protective Service Investigator in Beaufort County
  • I have since moved into the role of Family Preservation Case Worker
  • I, as an Investigator, followed up reports of abuse or neglect to a child(ren)
  • I have worked on a number of cases from schools to hospitals throughout Beaufort, Charleston, Hardeeville, South Carolina and Savannah, Ga community

  • As the Support Manager, my duties were to oversee both the inside of the store’s operation and the garage area of the department
  • I ensured customer’s vehicles were being taken care of per the policy of Walmart
  • I covered the inside portion of the store by checking inventory, helping customers find items and or checking them out at the register
  • I was involved in the first line of interviewing for hire of employees throughout the store

In 10/2016, I started working as a Substitute Teacher for ESS. The job cover the state of South Carolina and Georgia. I maintained that job until COVID in 03/2020. While I performed this job I worked with children in grades from Pre-K to High School. I was taught by the children, if you listen to their concerns and show them trust and that you are committed. I have taken the opportunity to embraces any knowledge and received during my time as a member of the Department of Social Services I absorbed education offered. The ESS assignment allotted me opportunities for personal growth by interacting with children in a school environment. In my time as a manager, I was governed by policy and direction from those above me. I quickly learned in order to be successful you would need to establish a rapport with customer and staff.
