  • While working for Frank V Coluccio C Construction on our project to relocate utilities in the pathway of the Rail, I was challenged with relocating a 10” water main on Halekauwila Street, in front of the Federal Courthouse. The water line needed to be installed 13' down to cross under a box culvert. With the help of my team, we created an environment underwater that is acceptable to work in. Through examining the different situations in the trench, I applied multiple 4 inch discharge pumps to remove the water from our work area and maintain an acceptable work environment throughout the day. Our daily start up process as well as the procedure throughout the workday and the closing procedure for the workday needed to be efficient so as to install a 12”Watermain 13 feet below a box culvert. My team successfully executed the installation of the water line from start to finish on schedule and with minimal disruption to the public.
