Salary: $55,000 per annum 60 hours/week
- Oversee stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establish or adjust stock levels and reorder points using standard formulae and prescribed procedures.
- Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account records.
- Receive and screen lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs or work operations, and collate and assemble lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans.
- Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply organizations.
- Search catalogs, records, or other data sources to obtain or correct stock numbers or to find authorized substitutes for stock items.
- Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtain material status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material to work sites.
- Process documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room or similar storage area, issue material to shop or work center personnel, keep local stock records, reorder when stocks are low or at a specified reorder point, prepare standard reports such as variances between actual and estimated costs, and perform related stock receipt, storage, control, and issue functions for expendable and non-expendable items for a local organization.
- Identify requirements and requisition, issue, or distribute office and administrative supplies, forms, publications, or other printed materials.
- Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property and perform standardized property management control processes.
- Operate computer terminals or personal computers to perform records search, data input, and data corrections.
- Filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding supply documents or transactions using frequently used terminology, forms, or codes.
- Monitoring the paperwork and records associated with receiving, storing, issuing, replenishing, or inventorying commonly used administrative supplies and equipment.
- Securing information regarding the status of supply transactions.
- Coordinates with Navy JSO (S-8) in submitting milstrip statuses through Onetouch and updating MOV/ backordered material in ShipClip.
- Led 5 personnel in planning, developing, implementing and executing program objectives within the overall policies provided.
- Responsibly filtered out ShipClip requisitions from over 80 work centers in accordance to the ship’s SOP and MOA.
- Managed inventorying and processing material breakouts and the stowing of 1000 plus Y-Stock material as well as MTIS offloads of over 1000 line items from various storerooms onboard.
- Yeoman Storekeeper, worked in the Cargo Logistic Force (CLF) Office where during CLF evolutions.
- Meticulously reviews reports of inspections, assuring that final positive action is taken on all action items.
- Effectively handled direct QA responsibilities of ensuring that first and second counts of material were correct and exact to the customer’s request.
- Led the Cargo and Stock Control Yeoman storekeepers in processing the picking of hatch sheets and 1348s generated by the CLO.
- Budget Manager - effectively managed OPTAR of over $4 Million with the constant screening and following of the ship’s MOA while maintaining overview of program and goal accomplishments.
- Facilitates cargo in and off the ship, and the processing of material to the 80 plus MSC and Navy work centers onboard.
- Worked side-by-side with HICS department in sorting, processing, and off-loading of HAZMAT and DRMO material.
- Led the Navy and MSC Department Heads in updating and processing new and used HAZMAT within their workspaces and the management of the entire ship's HAZMAT inventory.
- Establishes policies and applied analytical and problem solving techniques to maintain proper handling, usage, storage of all HAZMAT.
- Manage fuel sample and testing to include performing tank ullage measurement soundings and water cuts to ensure that fuel numbers were accurate and fuel deltas were kept at a minimum and within acceptance rates.
