Responsibilities included but not limited to the maintenance and repair of fire truck and related apparatus including pump intake and discharge systems ,engine repair ,heating and cooling and hydraulic control mechanisms. later duties included upfitting of electrical warning lighting and containment systems used in law enforcement . Fabrication of solenoid contolled actuation devices for K9 units and weapon security devices

Daily tasks were to diagnose mechanical failures and drivability concerns on light and medium duty cars and trucks . Rebuild motors and transmissions ,steering and suspension components and diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning systems. Also built and fabricated high performance cars for drag racing applications.

Responsible for pipe fabrication shop operations for leading fire sprinkler company .Duties were to supervise shop personnel and fabricate pipe and related materials for union fitters / installers in western NY area as well as supply satelite locations in Rochester and Corning NY. Also responsible for tool and machine repair of shop equipment including saws, plasma cutters ,lifting equipment and shop vehicles / trailers. Weld and fabricate brackets hangers and anything needed by employees at worksites.

Performed all aspects of automotive repair including but not limited to mechanical diagnosis and repair ,steering and suspension , heating and cooling ,NYS safety Inspections , major engine transmission rebuilding and replacement.

Operate and set up Okuma CNC lathes and Enshu multi turret drill centers used in the manufacture of automotive aftermarket brake drums , rotors , and discs . Responsible for making adjustments and cutting tool changes monitor brake surface profile for correct finish and fitment .Keep machines clean and properly filled with cutting fluids .
