Make installations/repairs to common electrical applications. 2. Make repairs to electrical irrigation systems and controls. 3. Ability to uses industry accepted tools and equipment of the electrical trade such as meters and assorted hand tools. Additional Essential Functions for Level II 4. Prepare materials lists, make simple field drawings, keep simple records, and maintain appropriate paperwork. Additional Essential Functions for Level III 5. Ability to use industry accepted tools and equipment of the electrical trade such as meters, recorders, and assorted hand tools. 6. Provide on-call services pursuant to the on-call schedule. 7. Direct/lead subordinates as necessary. Additional Essential Functions for Level IV 8. Do lay-outs, plan, schedule, and coordinate various aspects of electrical tasks and jobs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT USAGE JOB RELATED:

Good working knowledge of all aspects of methods, practices, tools, materials, and hazards of the electrical trade. Good understanding of relative local and national codes. Good understanding of and ability to make repairs to power circuits, lighting systems, load centers, and other electrical applications. Ability to follow complex directions, both written and verbal. Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications pertaining to electrical trade. Ability to do lay-outs, plan, and coordinate jobs through to completion. Ability to exercise independent judgment in determining the methods and procedures required to perform the work. Ability to make materials lists and do take-offs. Ability to order parts and materials and procure needed equipment. Ability to process work-orders electronically. Ability to relate to superiors and subordinate’s issues relative to job.
