Performed replacement, repair and overhaul work on pipe systems on passenger rail cars. Including all air, brake pipe, water, vacuum and waste systems. Work on interior, under car and equipment room areas. In car- replaced toilets faucets and plumbing, air valves and repaired leaks. Equipment room- replaced air and water valves, change out water heater, vacuum pump, waste tank valves. Test and repair all air, water and waste systems.

Under car- replaced air or repair all valves and components of brake pipe system including end hoses.

Work involved frequent use of all related tools. Measuring, forming, welding, soldering copper and black iron tubing from 1/2 inch to 4 inches in diameter. Pipe benders and threading machine. Mig welder and oxy acetylene torch. Many types of saws, drills, and cordless impact equipment.

Worked to maintain professionalism and keep a clean safe work area.

Worked installing, repairing and maintaining refrigeration systems and equipment on refrigeration trucks and trailers. Installed compressors and evaporators in new units. Added or recovered refrigerant to adjust.

in 2004. Was accepted into the 5 year apprenticeship in 2005.

Completed in 2010. Performed all manner of shop and field work in the layout, fabrication and installation of sheet metal material, mainly for use in HVAC systems.

Worked off various types of mobile lifts, platforms and ladders.

Used blueprints and specifications for material type, location and installation specifications. Ran several jobs requiring manpower and resource management. Measured and ordered

necessary material, hardware, pipe and ductwork for installation.

Operated various rolling mills and slitter machines to produce sheet brass and copper alloys to specific width and thickness requirements for customer order. Full width coils weighing between 10 and 15 thousand pounds. Operated conveyors, forklifts and overhead cranes to handle material.

Used a computer to set up operate and control mill with a large operator stand and control panel. Used calipers and micrometers to check material thickness and width.
