Rosalba Falcon-Sarmiento

Working at Circle de Luz, a nonprofit organization in Charlotte, North Carolina, has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I have had the opportunity to work closely with over 25 immigrant families from a local middle school, supporting their needs and fostering a positive environment for their daughters. My role has involved assisting the team in addressing various family needs, whether it be academic support, resources, or emotional encouragement. Most importantly, I have focused on helping these young girls maximize their time as students, empowering them to succeed academically and personally. This experience has deepened my understanding of the challenges immigrant families face and reinforced my commitment to making a meaningful difference in their lives.
