  • Receiving samples on the LIMS system for botanicals, soil, irrigation water and fertilizers, which I would prepare the samples by washing the leaves tissue, drying them on a oven , grinding them , weighing out the samples to get them ready for extraction or digestion.
  • I also analyze them on the Agilent ICP-OES 5900. I would test for nutrients such as boron, calcium, manganese, copper,iron magnesium, potassium, sodium, phosphorous, sulfur and zinc.
  • I also analyzed them on the Methrom IC for chloride and nitrate in water and soil samples
  • I also analyze for EC, pH and the bicarbonates on the Methrom. Report results on the LIMS system.

  • Operating the IC instrument I analyzed for anions, hexavalent chromium, and perchlorate . In this role, I have preformed sample preparation , interment calibration , interment trouble shoot. I would update the results on our LIMS system, If there was a sample that exceeded the MDL I would notified the project coordinator for any exceedance, and or report the results to the state after hours.
