1. The Music Program at Xaverian traditionally raises money through a pie sale; My idea was to allow donors to purchase more pies than they really want for their homes and have the surplus donated to a local shelter and soup kitchen (CHIPS of Brooklyn). In 2021 over 300 surplus pies were sold at $17.50 each and in 2022 453 pies were sold at $20 each amounting to over $14,300 dollars for the music program and hundreds of pies for the shelter residents and food kitchen. This tradition is now embedded and will continue after I left.
2. The compassionate crafting website is https://compassionatecrafting.my.canva.site. Unfortunately, the Instagram handle was hacked and the data was lost, but I am currently working to retrieve what I lost. I sold and handmade jewelry at farmer’s markets and Island Internist along with asking for donations on my own to raise money for the Hearts and Bones animals shelter and the ACC animal shelter (both in NYC).
3. I am currently supporting a fundraiser for Hope for a Healthier Humanity (HHH) which started as a Staten Island charity and now is international. It supports Latin American countries with resources for healthier living with clean water, nutritious food and education.
4. My hobbies include walking, piano, listening to music, harp, and travelling!!
