Rose McClelland

I work with many college students at a variety of levels of understanding of class materials. I have worked drop-in sessions and one-on-one scheduled tutoring sessions. I always am sure to help willing students to find learning strategies that work for them individually. I mostly tutor in Chemistry and Biology.

I recently began my work with FCPS as a substitute teacher during my breaks from University. Duties include following teacher guidelines to support their specific classroom, as well as adapting instruction and classroom management on a daily basis to varying age levels and subject areas.

During summers, I worked as co-coordinator and instructor of our one-on-one swim teaching program for young children. I paired instructors and students up to best suit their needs, worked with swimmers myself, and updated parents on their children's progress.

At each game I interacted with a variety of volunteers and customers, exhibiting my leadership and ability to connect with many different people.
