When I worked as a Crew Member for Chipotle Grill, there were several times when our understaffed shifts were overwhelmed by customers On one particular day, only I and one of my managers were available to open the store; no food had even been prepped, our POS was down, and customers would begin filing in by any minute As soon as I arrived at the store, I assessed the situation and quickly cleaned up the store, began prep, and prepared to inform customers about the current situation I kept my cool and maintained a professional manner, working quickly and closely to my manager, completing every task with her, and reassuring customers that their orders would be ready soon By preparing 2-3 orders at the same time, we were able to keep a relatively relaxed pace, but eventually had to call over an employee from another store to help us out Rather than refusing to open the store, I faced a dire situation head on and was able to keep the store running as smoothly as it usually did
