Summary

I was born and raised in Kenya Africa. I started teaching children at age 15 in a Sunday school church and during major children church events. At age 24 I worked with a missionary group at a church children seminar in Kenya. I was then selected by a couple from the mission group to come US and continue with my education in teaching and counseling. The couple sponsored me to come to the United States to continue with my education. They sponsored me for a year, and after a year I aplied and earned a scholarship to continue with my education in teaching. I completed my bachelors degree in early childhood education after 5 years. I then started working as a teacher in a first grade classroom. Three years later I worked in an a k-4 alternative environment classroom for 6 years. I am now working as a special education teacher and overseas three teacher assistants. I mentor new teachers and related service providers that work with my students. I love working with the children especially the children with special needs because most of them have undiscovered potential, talents, gifts and abilities that are yet to be discovered. The children with exceptionalities also deserves a chance and a platform to showcase their abilities. I believe i have the apportunity to provide them with the platform.
