The Nursing Skills Laboratory Assistant manages the day-to-day activities of the nursing skills laboratory, including but not limited to teaching and supervising students in skills practice, demonstration, simulation and remediation; maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment; and ensuring ongoing compliance with the OSHA standards of safety rules and regulations.
Create a learning environment that enhances the student’s ability to use conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
Coordinate and supervise students to ensure that lab experiences meet course outcomes.
Work closely with faculty to plan teaching strategies that will increase the student’s ability to meet clinical skill requirements.
