The incumbent performs a variety of clerical duties related to Clinical Administrative Support Services (CASS), Refugee Health Assessment Program (RHAP), and the Centralized Appointment Center (CAC), and is cross-trained in various areas. Duties include front desk reception, greeting, appointments, registration/eligibility, financial clerk/cashiering, handling medical records/Electronic Health Records (EHR), and phone operations. The incumbent is adaptable, following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and security regulations to ensure client confidentiality. They also assist with scheduling, rescheduling, answering inquiries, processing client forms, and ensuring appropriate follow-up. The role requires interaction with internal and external clients, managing daily departmental calls and providing high-quality customer service. Additional responsibilities include registering clients in the Health Management System (HMS), verifying Medicaid eligibility, managing client documentation, scanning and logging records, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. The incumbent serves as clinic cashier, reviewing client accounts, reconciling payments, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in HMS. Participation in workgroups, meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives is also required, with the Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology used to pursue improvements and review outcomes.
