The Residential Care Assistant play a pivotal role in meeting the service and care needs of residents of The Good shepherds Nursing Home. RCA provide compassionate care by building strong, trusting relationships with residents by listening to their individual preferences and routines. Showing understanding and patience particularly with residents with dementia or other intellectual challenges. Communicate effectively with residents, families and other healthcare teams ensuring care plans are understood and followed. Supporting residents with activities of daily living(ADL) such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance. Monitoring their physical condition and reporting changes to supervisors promptly. Adapting quickly to unpredictable situations whether it involves responding to emergencies or finding solutions to improve a residents comfort or managing conflicts between residents.
