Proven track record in safety and efficiency, demonstrated at Delphi Automotive where I pioneered as the first female Kiln Control Operator. Expert in safe driving practices and effective communication, I ensure operational excellence and incident-free transportation. Skilled in behavior management and commercial driving, I excel in high-responsibility roles requiring precision and reliability.
As a school bus driver
I picked up & dropped off school aged children daily. I had to pre-trip my bus every time before driving to ensure all working parts and fluids were functioning and correct, and do a sweep of the bus at the end of each drive to make sure there were no students left on the bus.
As a set-up & operator I loaded bags of loose powder into a hopper, and ran the press into which the powder went. . I loaded the 40lb die onto the press, set it and all the dials to the precise settings so the press & die would make the correct cuts, lines, and measurements for that particular spark plug. After the powder went through the press it came out as a ceramic spark plug. After inspecting the spark plugs ( and they were up to specs), I loaded the trays onto a cart which was then sent to the next area for firing ( baking ).
As the only female to ever hold that particular job in the history of A C Spark Plug ( Delphi ), I monitored the temperature inside the Kiln Firing Oven every hour. After making sure there was the correct amount of gas and air mixture inside the oven, I recorded the temperature into the book. In the event an alarm went off I had to trace the problem then attempt to fix it. If fixing it was beyond my scope then I had to call skilled trades in to handle it.
