
With over 30 years of experience as a Music Educator, I am uniquely qualified to deliver outstanding instruction to students of all ages for general music classes and performance groups. My vast experience with ensembles encompasses: concert band, marching band, orchestra, string ensemble, chorus, madrigals, ukulele class, keyboard class, world percussion ensemble, guitar class, recorder class and jazz/rock groups. My exciting blend of traditional music methods which include Kodaly, Orff and Dalcroze, along with an emphasis on world and popular music and foreign language, provides students of all ages from pre-K to adult with memorable, meaningful and dynamic learning adventures with every meeting.
Achieved successful delivery of general music education classes for grades K-6 by integrating world and popular music methods, resulting in enjoyable and effective learning experiences. Initiated first chorus and beginning band program for grades 3-6, enhancing music education opportunities. Facilitated access to free instrumental lessons through grant funding and community support, ensuring all students could pursue their musical interests.
Achieved significant growth in band program participation, expanding from 5 to over 60 students. Delivered comprehensive instrumental lessons and band ensembles for grades 4-6. Utilized dynamic teaching techniques to enhance note reading, technical skills, and tone production, resulting in increased student confidence and pride in their musical achievements.
