Special Education Teacher who brings a great deal of experience to the special education setting. Through the years have developed an understanding of how to address the academic and emotional needs of a variety of students.
I am a special education teacher with thirty years of teaching experience. This experience includes every grade level, including time in the alternative education setting. My Masters of Arts in teaching special education allows me to teach any subject area in the resource room. During my career I have taught English, History, Pre-Algebra, Science, and Chemistry in the resource setting. I have also taught Psychology in the general education alternative setting. My experience in the inclusive setting has been most recent in the areas of English and Biology. However, in the more distant past I have provided support in Science and Math classrooms.
In addition to classroom experience, I have became well versed in the IEP process throughout my teaching career.
