Reliable Fleet Mechanic skilled in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. Known for effective teamwork and multitasking abilities, contributing to high-quality vehicle maintenance and ensuring operational efficiency.
I have hands-on experience working with trucks and trailers, particularly with Freightliners. My background includes fixing air leaks, brakes, drums, wheel seals, and conducting preventative maintenance (PM) on trucks and trailers. Additionally, I am skilled in inspecting vehicles for electrical issues and can adeptly maneuver trucks and trailers in and out of the shop.
While I do not possess a CDL, I have experience pulling trucks from the line to the shop and backing up trailers. I am familiar with various components such as tires, door latches, rear doors with tracks, and some hydraulic systems. Although I have not worked extensively on hydraulics, I have a basic understanding of the types used.
I own my own tools and have engaged in daily maintenance tasks like cleaning the shop, fixing clearance lights, and addressing AC issues such as checking compressor power, fan belts, and radiator levels. I have a strong grasp of the external components of engines and perform tasks like pulling dashboards to resolve air leaks and replacing parking brake sensors.
My main focus was on maintaining and servicing a variety of machinery, including 18 winners trailers and regular automotive vehicles. There was a lot of scheduled maintenance (PMS) to keep everything in top shape.
