My name is Roy Taylor and I’ve been in the shipyard since 2008, where I learned how to powertool and touch up paint. Been spraying since 2009 and got my c-14 plural component sprayer and operator certification. Been working for contractors since 2008. Hard working and always willing to learn more to master my trade.
• Spray paint tanks on submarines using high solid epoxy paint (fast clad, 810, etc).. while applying 20-30 mils using a wet film mil gauge to meet the required mils for the tank.
• power tool and touch up flapper valves on submarines tanks using the 235 high solid painting system which includes the prime coat, strip coat, followed by the top coat.
