I was attending the Local 1 Plumbers Apprenticeship Program over the last 3 years. I was being educated in school as well as in the field to handle residential and the commercial side of plumbing installations, repairs and modifications. I was grateful for this experience but i decided I wasn’t living up to my full potential. These last few months have been a turning point in my life. All throughout my life prior I settled, I had no drive or vision to do more with my life. I was scared to create the life that I wanted to live. I was given this second chance at life, and I am blessed for that every single day now. Ive realized that I can help people. I can teach people. Not only in the classroom, but teach about the levels of life that I wish that I had known in my teenage years. I want to give back to the school that was incredible towards me. I feel like I can be a voice for these kids, and someone that will be able to command respect as well as give respect. I have the ability to see the inner light, the best in people. This is who I want to be. This is what I want to do with my life.
