In my current role for the New York City Department of Education, part of the services I provide are on-site and virtual technical support, to ensure continuity of operations related to multiple district systems for faculty, administrators, and students, with more than 50 schools, servicing over 1500 faculty and 19,000 students, as well as provide trainings and tutorials. Additionally, I also manage data exports to multiple systems, which require data from the district’s core district information systems to create reports and data visualizations.
In addition to my network experience, I am credited with designing and creating web-based and mobile applications for my designated location as part of the overall school’s mission, and on occasion on an ad-hoc basis. For instance, recently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I designed surveys to gather data on how students were performing in a remote learning environment, which would assess and determine which students had suffered negative learning impacts due to remote learning. Using the data obtained from the surveys, I was able to design technical support programs based on their needs.
