Since the beginning of high school, I have been intrigued in Engineering whether that's computer science to mechanical due to my step-dad introducing me to it. I have been dedicated to this field as I enrolled in a four-year program called PLTW Engineering my freshman year of high school.
From there I have entered contests at Raytheon where my step-dad worked to see my interest peak in this field, going to a little clinic at Raytheon that helped broadcast what Engineering is like at Raytheon, and shadowing my cousins who are engineers (one biomedical and the other a cad designer). I have also done to engineering projects in my time in both high school and college.
I am still interested on how I can contribute to the engineering field in the best way I can whether that is potentially programming a website or a car to getting down to the nitty gritty of creating the item with my own hands.

I am a field hockey coach to many young girls to help inspire them to pursue this sport through high school or even as a career. While I was young, I have never heard of field hockey until my freshman year where an older friend introduced me to it. I have then grew my skills, created so many new friends, and achieved a spot as captain on the varsity team. I want to show young girls that yes this a fun sport that you get to learn new physical skills, but this sport can also teach you so many life lessons and skills that can help you outside of the game. It is also always nice to see the girls get happy that they learned a new skill that they thought they couldn't because it was too hard for them at the moment.
It is no secret that I have a bond and love for dogs. Any dog I come across, I build an incredible connection with them. I decided to turn my "skills" into a job to help out families who may not have the time to walk their dogs due to working a lot, disabilities, and any other duties they have to attend to but also want to make sure their dog has the attention they deserve. Not only is it an honor to be able to gain the trust of one's fur baby, but to be able to help my community in anyway I can.
