Work History

Associate Technical Fellow, Metals M&P

Boeing
11.1982 - 03.2024
  • Provided production Materials and Processes support primarily for aerospace materials for many production and development programs for military aircraft and weapons programs. These primary assignments included, C-17, F-15, F/A-18, Harpoon, SLAM ER, Small Diameter Bomb, JDAM, MOP, HAAWC, as well as secondary support for many other programs. Development programs included SCIFIRE, SPEAR, T3, JAGM, Ramjet 155, and other. These support roles were in design, producibility, manufacturing, testing and qualification, This amounted to 27 years of my 41 year career at Boeing.
  • Worked in production metal fabrication plant. Primary roles included leading the aluminum heat treat team, M&P support of titanium superplastic forming/diffusion bonding team, aluminum forming and machining, aluminum welding, steel and stainless steel fabrication. 5 years.
  • Performed Metals R&D in additive manufacturing and casting development for 5 years. Was later the Boeing Defense Systems metal additive manufacturing integration lead in St. Louis and other sites.
  • Managed F-15E landing gear Test and Evaluation for landing gear and landing gear door qualification. 1 year.
  • Performed laboratory failure analysis for all Boeing St. Louis programs. 3 years.
  • Provided technical support to Boeing subcontractors and reviewed casting and forging qualification packages.
  • Selected as a Boeing Technical Fellow in metals M&P in 2007.
  • Was a Boeing Designated Expert in the following processes and materials. High strength steel and stainless steel, steel warhead cases, heat treating, metal additive manufacturing, castings, aluminum and processing.
