Responsible for leading 3rd shift management and assisting with any needs with park opening while keeping Sr Manager apprised of any concerns while turning over to 1st shift.

Manage and track performance to organizational targets and goals to include Cast Member (CM) safety targets, personnel/staffing targets, preventative maintenance strategy/completion, and reactive repair work to support operational needs.

Attraction Hypercare

My role in Hypercare was focused mainly on Mermaid, Zephyr, Toy Story, Grizzly and Incredicoaster. Hypercare objective was "Attraction Availability Strategy".

Mission was to solve root cause of most impactful attraction issues (MRI vs ORI vs Ride Capacity)

My role also consisted of supporting 3rd shift into 1st shift with park opening needs for example downtimes and Incredicoaster ATP Trains.

Provide expertise to manage the demands of opening a theme park while teaching Disney Traditions, Heritage and Storytelling.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Complete Punch List items following construction

  • Final buy-off of the 9 Attractions assigned to me (Tron, Mine Train, Voyage to the Grotto, Peter Pan, Pooh, Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo, Carousel, Jet Packs) while supporting projects on Soarin and Roarin Rapids.
  • Oversee the coordination of Operation Requirements, Ride Spares, Attic Stock and VMI
  • Assist with overseeing the program training setup for On-Boarding Staff

    • Lead Kick-Off Meetings (Safety Briefing, Attendance, Downtime Reports, Operation Readiness, MRI, Projects and other Responsibilities)
    • Support the needs of our Operations Partners
    • Responsible for Daily, Long Term or Corrective Maintenance while following Compliance on attractions with regards to Manufacturing Requirements, DOSH and OSHA
    • Work parallel with QE, QA, Sustaining Engineering, Safety Services, Scientific Systems, Support Overhaul, Manufacturing and Show Teams
    • Serve as Facility 2 Manager supporting the Park
    • Monitor, follow and implement ongoing Safety Procedures and Programs
    • Responsible for attraction compliance training
    • Responsible for Daily Attraction Sign-Off's

    Other Notes and Achievements:

    • While supporting the Maintenance Platform installation on Goofy's, I took advantage of the time and created a maintenance strategy to help reduce downtime drivers and to deliver a better guest experience. Goofy's has since delivered several weeks of 99% with a few weeks at 100% MRI. The following 3 years the attraction averaged 1.5% above target.
    • Managed a "Deployment Team" for about 3 years. This consisted of about 15 Machinist that were responsible for Projects, completion of Long Term PM's throughout the DCW West Attractions. Team was also responsible for covering for LOA's, Call-out's, Vacations and Open Head count.
    • Managed California Screamin for almost 7 years, which included the 2012 down for Loop Replacement, Fall Protection installation, Drive Replacement, PMCS Upgrade, Switch Gear and Corrosion Mitigation
    • Managed Pier Attractions which included Maliboomer (no longer with us)
    • Orange Stinger to Silly Swings Project
    • Madness to Goofy's Project

    Outside Machinist Working Lead
