Primary job with Polytype is installing dry offset and Digital inkjet printing equipment. Doing upgrades and regular maintenance to the equipment and repairs when a machine goes down.
I work remotely out of the Charlotte Nc area so i was dispatched from there. Charlotte airport is an ideal location since it is a hub for American Airlines i can get a direct flight almost anywhere.
The dry offset printing machines are used for cup printing, 8 mandrels and 8 color. These cups were clear and mostly for Wendy's, Starbucks and McDonalds at around 600 cups for minute. the also employed led and uv lighting for surface prep and sterilization as well as gas prep. the Digi cup machines are ink jet printers for round substrate as well from children's sand buckets to full color promotional cups and single logo insulated water bottles. I have traveled to Switzerland for some factory training in Jan of 1923. Since i work remotely when there is no work i work out of my home office and receive a 40 hr pay check but i prefer to be busy and travel and make Per diem and overtime. It has been sometime since i have Worked with a PLC or HMI.With most of my past employers they prefer that the factory programmers only make changes to the equipment.
