- Assisted Pipefitters in measuring, cutting, fitting and threading pipes for installation.
- Transported pipe and equipment to job sites using forklifts or hand trucks.
- Performed welding tasks such as torch-cutting.
- Installed piping systems including valves, flanges, pressure gauges , PSV's and thermometers.
- Cleaned and inspected pipes and belvelled pipe ends for defects before fit up and installation.
- Read isometrics and P&ID's to determine layout of piping circuits.
- Drilled holes into structural steel memebers to accommodate pipe supports and structural platform installations.
- Hydro test piping sytems with pressure gauges and water to insure quality welds.
- Removed corroded out of service sections of pipe from existing systems. Demo out of service exchangers and towers.
- Repaired damaged pipelines using various tools like wrenches, impacts, chainfalls and come a longs.
- Ensured that all site and company safety policies and procedures were followed during each job task.
