Registered Nurse with 20 + years of experience, mainly in an acute psychiatric setting. Several of those years of experience were achieved at a state run facility. More recently, experience has been acquired, at a private hospital. Within that hospital, experience has been gained on both the adult behavioral health unit, as well as the Geriatric behavioral health unit. In addition to these experiences, I have acquired a lot of experience in long term care, first as a CNA then as a RN. The ability to interact with, and care for, clients of all ages with a wide variety of complex medical diagnoses and psychiatric diagnoses The ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcome for the clients The ability to calmly interact with clients experiencing a crisis, and provide the safest, and least restrictive environment for all involved.
