I have had the privilege of volunteering at a variety of events from a very young age, which has been an incredibly enriching experience. These opportunities have allowed me to contribute to my community in meaningful ways while also helping me grow personally and gain valuable life skills. The events I've volunteered for include but are not limited to:

• Reading Sessions for Children- Volunteering at my local library, I led reading sessions for children, promoting literacy and a love for reading. During these sessions, I read books aloud, sang songs, and engaged children with interactive activities, including arts and crafts. I provided them with materials and instructions to create their own artwork, connecting the stories we read to their own creativity.
• Torneo de Ortografía en Español- Organized by UTRGV, I assisted both children and their parents in various ways. From helping with parking and seating arrangements to managing the registration process and guiding participants to the correct locations. Once the competition began, I took on the responsibility of reviewing each word to ensure it was spelled correctly, making sure everything was accurate and ran efficiently. The entire event was conducted in Spanish, which gives me great opportunity to use my language skills since all instructions, communication, and interactions are given in this language.
• Cleaning Public Spaces- I actively contributed to the environmental conservation of my community by engaging in various clean-up activities. These included picking up trash in public parks, along highways, and at local beaches. This experience not only allowed me to make a visible impact on the cleanliness of these areas but also raised awareness among local residents about the importance of keeping public spaces free from waste.

Through my volunteer work, I’ve learned the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and leadership, as well as how to adapt to different environments and work alongside people from diverse backgrounds. Volunteering has taught me how to communicate effectively, manage time efficiently, and problem-solve creatively in situations that require quick thinking. It has also deepened my understanding of community service and the positive impact one can have on society. I am grateful for being able to attend all these community service opportunities and I look forward to keep making a change in society while learning new experiences.
