Current Lead Technician in the QA lab at Kraton Polymers. 2019 college graduate with a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology and a BS in Nutrition. Experience with numerous biological/chemical laboratory techniques including: GPC, GC, GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR, IC, flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA, immunoelectrophoresis, and PCR. Experience with numerous physical property testing including: melt flow, total extraction, ash content, solution viscosity, kinematic viscosity, and ozone titration.
Highly skilled at sample preparation, testing, collecting data, accurately calculating outcomes and interpreting pertinent information. Has the ability to rapidly master new techniques, operations, and procedures. -Preform GPC, GC, GC-MS, IC, HPLC, and FTIR analyses
-Preform various physical property testing such as: melt flow, total extraction, ash content, solution viscosity, kinematic viscosity, and ozone titration
-Familiar with Empower GPC software
-Analyze the chromatograms and prepare the results
-Enter results in LIMS
-Make product labels, assign testing, and attach chromatography plots in LIMS
-Troubleshoot LIMS
-Communicate with supervisor, manager, co-workers and different departments
-Make product standards and run as needed
-Calibrate instruments
-Troubleshooting and minor maintenance of instruments
-Work with LPG sample bombs
-Stock the laboratory with supplies and make sure the supplies are in good standing
-Provide nutritional assessment, education, and counseling to individuals and groups, primarily prenatal and pediatric clinics with emphasis on participants in the special supplemental food program for WIC
-Evaluate and certify the eligibility of applicants for participation on the WIC program
-Access and document nutritional risk status of participants
-Counsel participants concerning diet and food selections
-Recommend food packages based on client needs
-Attend in-service trainings, meetings, seminars, and workshops pertaining to current practices related to nutrition
-Assist in regulatory submissions (USA, Canada, European Union, China, ROW), regulatory plans, risk analysis, clinical study design, investigation of in vitro diagnostic reagent tests, performance in clinical environments (clinical virology immunochemistry, PCR, etc.).
