- I oversaw a crew of up to 8 guys at a time. We would do verifications at the curb valve or meter pit to determine the pipe material. A list would be gathered and we would excavate the service.
- Services Ranged from city half's(owner side main to curb) to house half(customer curb to house). Also full services main to the house.
- Mostly all the mains were in the road, short sides we excavated. Long sides we would directional bore with drill or shoot a hog/mole.
- Each city had different preferences on backfilling material but always sand padded the pipe at least 1 ft. We would use gravel with dust or flowable fill/cdf depending on what the facility owner wanted.
- Also did full restoration from soft surface to hard surface(concrete and asphalt)

- I got my Class A CDL in 2015(tanker endorsement, RESTRICTED TRACTOR TRAILER/MAUNAL TRANSMISSION). I have 13 years experience running a backhoe and excavators. I also ran a Hydro-Vac truck for close to 5 years. I have close to 10 months on a directional bore machine from a 8x13 Vermeer to 24x40 Vermeer.
- I have been a part of both bare steel main/service projects. I have been a part of blanket/scattered service projects. I have been on new construction projects as well from industrial rotary meter sets to housing development projects. I also had the chance to travel for a little while and do Centerpoint's IM( Integrity Management) for their transmission lines. This mainly consist of pigging from cleaning to smart pigs to detect any anomalies in the pipe. We would gps coordinate the anomalies and excavate that location and have 3rd party along with centerpoint verify and determine the proper fix. Typically it was sleeves or pumpkins but sometime full section cut out and replacements.
