I have been in law enforcement for over 20 years. My first five years were with the United States Coast Guard as a Federal Law Enforcement officer. The other 15 were with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office in Georgia policing.
In the U.S. Coast Guard, I was a weapons engineer and a boarding officer and I was responsible for taking my teams out on high risk boardings. We had to look for drugs, illegal immigrants, weapons of mass destruction and radiation items being brought into the United States, Primarily on container ships. Some small boats also. We traveled all around the world.
When I started working as a Sheriff's Deputy, I started out on patrol investigating domestic disputes, car accidents, enforcing traffic laws, 911 calls, alarm calls and anything from a runaway juvenile to a rape or murder case.
I then became a field training officer training all the knew officers. I did this for several years.
Then I became a Canine Handler. We would locate narcotics and apprehend people that went missing or committed a crime. I went to many drug schools. Some to I.D. drugs, to tell impaired drivers, interdiction for drug traffickers and much more.
While still being a canine handler I went to New Mexico Tech University and finished and graduated from there bomb school.
I quite being a canine handler to get a better schedule system for my kids.
I moved to the local court house to work and have learned how the court on state and federal sides works.
My Family comes first. I enjoy the outdoors. Anything that may be a a little adrenaline rushing feeling. Camping, mountain biking, kayaking and much more.
