Provide training and guidance to junior plant operators, ensuring that they understand and follow standard operating procedures. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the plant operators to maintain a smooth workflow. Identify opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency, and cost reduction, and propose improvements to the plant's management for consideration. Manage the proper handling, storage, and dosing of chemicals used in the treatment process, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and environmental regulations. Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures, power outages, or chemical spills, by implementing contingency plans and coordinating with relevant authorities. Participate in maintenance of equipment, including pumps, motors, blowers, and chemical feed systems, to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Identify and troubleshoot operational issues promptly, implementing corrective measures to minimize downtime.

Perform routine journey level installations, Oversee the inspection, repair, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of a variety of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, blowers, valves, conveyors, and other machinery used in the wastewater treatment process, Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to delegate, print out work orders and perform scheduled maintenance following O&M tech manuals. Identify and diagnose mechanical issues promptly, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain the reliability of critical equipment within the treatment plant.

Provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff, ensuring they are well-versed in the latest maintenance techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation. Work closely with other departments, such as operations and engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities that align with overall plant objectives. Respond to equipment failures or emergencies, leading the team in troubleshooting and implementing quick and effective solutions to minimize disruptions to plant operation.

Performed variety of skilled work while using company vehicle in maintenance repair and installation of wastewater treatment lift stations equipment in collection systems. Which includes shafts, pumps, valves, motors, compressors and bubbler level systems. Operate lift stations equipment, control flow and to make adjustments and monitor lift stations using SCADA SYSTEM through laptop and mobile phone. Use variety of hand and shop tools. Use CMMS software to perform preventive and corrective maintenance and to input data information for future references. Work outdoors and in confined space areas, Assist other trades when needed, Work Standby to respond to emergency's situation Work overtime as needed. Work closely with collection crew with grease cleaning and other related duties that requires Vac truck.

Lead, supervise and delegate a team of maintenance mechanics, assigning tasks, and coordinating daily activities to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and facilities. Provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff, perform preventive and corrective maintenance at variety wastewater treatment plants and lift stations. Tasks includes dismantling simple and complex equipment based on work orders from a CMMS software or emergency situations. Work closely with other departments, such as operations, engineering, Instrument & Electrical to coordinate maintenance activities that align with overall plant objectives. Build relationships with vendors to order parts,tools and equipment to maximize inventory. Collaborate with external contractors when necessary. Work in confined space and outdoors environment. Work with shop and hand tools daily, fabricate, cut and weld stainless steel metal and pipes. Perform backflow testing on backflow units,Operate fixed boom telescopic crane as well as forklift. maintain certifications which includes WWTP Operator Grade II, CDL B no restrictions, Respirator and confined space, CPR, First Aide, Backflow tester and OCCCO Crane. Work overtime and respond to emergency's as needed.

Operate Secondary treatment Plant which includes activated sludge and trickling filters,primary and final clarifier's, digesters, centrifuges. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment which includes compressors,blowers, pumps,valves and generators. Monitor plant operations and equipment using SCADA system to adjust plant performance. Record RTM readings. Troubleshoot plant equipment as needed, follow lock out /tag out procedures and issued work permits accordingly. Perform laboratory duties, sampling and testing per NPDES permit. Create work request as needed, assist other trades, up keep house cleaning duties, been on safety committee for two years.
