  • Tasked with projects that included PLC and/or HMI upgrades to improve equipment operation, track downtime, and simplify or improve HMI screens for both Operations and Maintenance teams. I was able to complete many of the assigned project tasks.

Maintenance Technician II

  • Hired as a Maintenance Technician I, under a new contract between ATS and BorgWarner Transmission Systems for factory maintenance services. Within 3 years, I demonstrated the knowledge and skills/capabilities for a promotion to Maintenance Tech II.
  • Developed Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and procedures for various production machinery, and worked with BorgWarner production management to compose a schedule to implement the PM's. From this, a PM team was formed, and I was tasked with the leadership of it. I was successfully able to grow the team and program to sustain itself, where I achieved the aforementioned promotion and moved on to a corrective/reactive repair tech position, while still remaining involved with proactive repairs and solutions.
  • Provided thorough and timely troubleshooting and repairs for production machinery and automation lines using my multi-skilled trade foundation and experience.
  • I was nominated and accepted a temporary leadership position as a maintenance Shift Lead for 14 months. I was successfully able to lead the team during this time. Shortly thereafter, another 3-month temporary Shift Lead position opportunity arose for a different shift, and I again accepted; I was able to successfully able to lead this team as well. This lead to an advancement as a permanent back-up Shift Lead, where my leadership capabilities were often utilized.
  • Became regarded as the highest-skilled technician on my shift through my leadership capabilities, troubleshooting and repair efficiency, and competent communication. This lead the Customer to develop confidence and respect for my work and efforts.
  • I was typically involved with the training of new-hires with little to no maintenance experience, and was able to help them grow their skillsets to increase the value of the team.
  • I sought and achieved high involvement and specialization in a new, high demand department implemented by the Customer, which consisted of new "state of the art" machinery and improved production functionality.
