• Oversee the production of two teams with a total of 15 plastic injection molding machines (a mixture of Toshiba's and Nisseis ranging from 160 tons to 500 tons, with 6 machines having rotating platens and secondary injection units), with 1 to 8 operators and support staff.
• Verify that processes match the master setup sheet, perform corrective actions, and write service requests when they do not.
• Verify that parts match the master parts, and perform the proper steps for escalation when they do not. This includes a physical confirmation step to ensure the parts match the key features part.
• Performing final audits on outgoing parts to assure proper labeling and the following of proper packing procedures.
• Leading operators and ensuring they are following proper workplace instructions and procedures.
• Troubleshooting both process and mechanical issues that may arise, causing problems with production, and writing appropriate service requests when the problem cannot be resolved.
• Troubleshooting plastic injection molding tools with cores, E-DART, and thin switches.
• Verification of proper materials and drying settings being used throughout the teams. Including packaging, components, virgin material, colorant, and TPE.
• Operating and troubleshooting assembly cells with ABB 6-axis robots, custom-made manufacturing components, and punch presses.
• Operating and troubleshooting 4-axis star robots, and custom-made stone 4-axis robots.
• Assure the proper setup of workplace layouts, including after mold or job changes.
• Covering for other teams, including on other shifts, when needed.
• Maintaining proper 5S standards throughout the teams and the plant.
• Maintaining proper safety standards and protocols.

• Responsible for starting up and maintaining the production of seven large-tonnage plastic injection molding machines, ranging from 3,600 tons to 9,000 tons, including the following machines: Cincinnati's, Engels, and Battenfelds, along with 6 hot stamp presses, in the process of making 64 gallon trash bins, 96 gallon trash bins and ACE bins.
• Ensuring processes are following the designated master setup sheet, and performing proper corrective actions and write-ups when they are not.
• Ensuring parts produced match customer standards including proper logo placement and stamping of secondary hot stamps.
• Recording process parameters and performing gage and wall thickness checks.
• Performing mold changes, die stamp changes, foil changes, and color changes as the schedule dictates.
• Troubleshooting processes and mechanical issues that may halt production.
• Operating and troubleshooting 6-axis FANUC robots and 5-axis Sepro robots.
• Operating and troubleshooting hot stampers to ensure the proper logo display is placed onto carts.
• Maintaining proper 6S standards and protocols throughout the plant.
• Maintaining proper safety standards and protocols.
• Starting up and troubleshooting multi-core tools weighing over 40,000 pounds with suicide conditions.
• Material handling, as required.
• Safely handling hundreds of millions of dollars in equipment and tools, safely and efficiently.

Supervisor Role Responsibilities:

• Lead a small team in the execution of daily production tasks, and in continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment. Problem-solve in order to develop corrective actions for customer issues, and ideas for improvement.
• Verify employee time sheets and assignment of labor hours using Kronos.
• Participate in quarterly meetings to go over several key metrics (including 5S, efficiency, labor utilization, customer complaints, safety, and new and upcoming launches), discuss improvement plans, and collaborate with the production manager and plant manager.
• Schedule staff and create assignments in order to hit daily goals.
• Regularly write and conduct employee performance evaluations.
• Assist in performing mold and color changes.
• Prioritize production orders and oversee the production of quality products to ensure our customers' standards and needs are met.
• Maintain the work area, equipment, and molds to provide the team with an organized workplace and proper tools.
• Responsible for machine, tool, personal, and team safety, as well as for following all prescribed lockout procedures. • Participate in interviews and other aspects of the hiring process.
• Responsible for participating in and implementing 5S standards, Kaizen forms, and continuous improvement programs.
• Usage of advanced molding techniques, including EDART, gas assist (Cinpres, Maximator, Gain unit), multi-cores, suicide conditions, insert molding, two-shot molding, and rotary platens.
• Write and perform evaluations for the team, hold team members accountable, and deliver disciplinary actions when required. Ensuring the product is made to customer quality expectations and shipped before due dates, even if that means staying late, working extra days, running presses, doing mold changes, or auditing myself.
• Doing whatever it takes to keep production running, including coordinating with the material handling supervisor, other bay supervisors, and other plants to get material, components, packaging, and tools.
• Covering for other bay supervisors, and working overtime when applicable.

Utility Role Responsibilities:

• Performing mold changes and color changes.
• Safely moving and storing tools with a hi-lo and overhead crane.
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of plastic injection molding dies onto or off the truck, prior to or after tooling repairs. Including flipping of dies for proper stabilization.
• Assisting the supervisor in the shutdown or startup of the bay.
• Assisting supervisor in maintaining proper 5s and safety standards and protocols.
• Assisting the supervisor in starting and troubleshooting presses.
• Changing out material, staging material, and ensuring proper dryer usage of material for production.
• Covering for the supervisor, auditing, or operators when applicable.

Auditor Role Responsibilities:

• Performing routine, standard part comparisons.
• Performing routing gauge checks and brake tests.
• Performing final audits to ensure one shot per box matches standard, and proper packaging instructions are followed.
• Moving finished goods into designated areas.
• Changing out and reweighing material.
• Ensuring proper components and packaging are maintained at presses.

Operator Role Responsibilities:

• Perform a brief visual inspection of parts coming off of the conveyor.
• Notifying the supervisor when the press is down or of defective parts.
• Changing out paperwork for job changes.
• Maintaining packaging at the press.
• Follow proper packaging instructions.
