  • Pulp Mill Helper- Duties were to clean up industrial messes and help support the pulp mill with lock outs and upset conditions
  • Pulp Mill Tester- To run many different tests to make sure we were making our product correctly, such as viscosity tests and PH tests
  • *Front End Loader Operator- Duties are to perform daily checks on equipment and complete basic preventative maintenance rounds on specific pumps, motors, and bearings. I operate a front-end loader to feed the powerhouse bark as a secondary source when the bark reclaimer is down for repairs
  • *Chip Re-claimer Operator-Duties are to operate both wood yards’ chip re-claimers to retrieve wood chips to send to a screen room where the perfect size chips are screened. I frequently collect chip samples to check for quality.
  • Clamp Truck Operator- International Paper, Inc. James Brown, Foreman Duties were to safely use a clamp truck to sort and place 2000 lbs. – 12000 lbs. paper rolls into designated bays using PPR system. I used clamp trucks and fork lifts to unload headstock and overrun rolls for use in the warehouse.
  • *Assistant Wood Handler- Duties are to operate a bark re-claimer and stacker to feed bark to the powerhouse to use as fuel in power boilers. I set up chip stackers to stack the woodchips into piles for later processing
  • Wood Yard Operations- International Paper, Inc.- Dennis Smith, Foreman *Rail Dump Operator-Duties are to correctly log railcars as they enter the paper mill and safely spot them on the rail tracks. I routinely use hydraulics to remove wood chips by lifting and dumping the cars. I operate a Bobcat for daily cleaning and housekeeping. I communicate effectively with previous shift, relief, supervision and other operators to exchange information on process conditions and other pertinent issues.
  • Worked with supervisor to coordinate workflow and updated daily production team accordingly.
  • Inspected final products to assess compliance with quality standards and established tolerances.
  • Monitored machinery in operation to identify concerns and make corrections or report complex problems.
  • Supported current production needs by moving items between equipment, conveyors and staging areas.
  • Operated Bobcats and forklifts to carry out production tasks.
