General office management and work, as well as doing research for the trail, helping expand the knowledge of Black history in New Hampshire by doing archival research at the New Hampshire Historical Society, the Portsmouth Public Library, Strawberry Banke Museum, and the Portsmouth Athenaeum in order to be able to speak on different stories of Black individuals in New Hampshire history.

  • Recorded certain directory information about the operations of the site, in regard to hours, seasons of operation, etc. All of this is with the goal of creating a barn trail that the public could access through a website that will be created, and the pages on the individual barns would be uploaded to it.

  • Conducted research on South Africa relating to social welfare, housing, ageism, and the elderly. The period examined was between 1870, during the colonial period of South Africa, and 1948, in the pre-apartheid era.
  • I helped Professor Casey Golomski do research for his book by looking through related materials in books, articles, and Ph.D. dissertations.
  • Created a Word document that was ordered chronologically by year and contained the citation for the material, a book review if it was a book, the summary or abstract for the material, a content summary of the information relevant to what the professor was looking for, and specific page numbers for those references found in the text. There was also a primary resource component as I looked at it directly translated resources relating to the establishment and history of an elderly care facility in White River, South Africa.
