Welder Helper:

• Operate the side boom for lining up and transporting pipe from one area to another, to set it in the ditch.
• Grind pipe bevels.
• Transition, miter, and cut pipe.
• Grind and buff throughout the welding process.
• Run heat for the welders.
• Unroll and roll up the welder's truck.
• Assist in lining up welds in clamps and jack stands.
• Build sliders and cribs with skids.
• Lay out pipe cones.
• Unload pipe trailers.

Laborer:

• Extensive hand digging.
• Swamping for the excavator while digging around utilities to keep them exposed, to ensure lines are not hit during excavation and trenching.
• Measure the ditch grade to maintain the correct depth.
• Operate the locator to locate underground utilities.
• Build shoring boxes and assist in setting them in bell holes.
• Setting up dewatering systems and containment pools.
• Cut asphalt, curb lines, and abandoned utilities out of the way.
• Asbestos coating removal, sandblasting.
• Throwing skids.
• Clean up the job site.

Clean-up Operator:

Skid Loader:

• Operate the skid loader to build ramps and roads on spoil piles.
• Unload and load trailers.
• Grading, backfilling, sweeping, and moving materials around the job site.

Backhoe:

• Operate the backhoe to move shoring boxes and trailers.
• Load dump trucks.
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Lifting pipe clamps, test trees, and other items in and out of shoring boxes.
• Backfilling and hauling materials around the job site.

Front-end loader:

• Hauling materials and backfilling
